Award winning photographer Clay Bolt to conduct “Basics of Digital Photography” workshop
Morning class at Pickens County Museum to be held July 25th
Don’t miss this opportunity to take an introductory Digital Photography class. Award-winning photographer Clay Bolt is the instructor for this early morning class on Saturday, July 25 at the Pickens County Museum of Art History. Scheduled from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m., the class size is limited to 10 students so early registration is encouraged. Pre-registration is required and tuition is $70 ($60 for museum members). This class is suitable for ages 16 years and up. Participants are to enter via the west gate of Table Rock State Park just off Hwy 11 and are responsible for the $2 park entry fee. Students will meet at the Liz Smith-Cox Educational Studio which is located downstairs at the museum and the class will continue into the museum’s gardens. When registering please be sure to give your phone number and e-mail address so that directions can be supplied prior to class.
Describing his Basics of Digital Photography class Clay Bolt asks, “Are you still struggling with your new digital camera? Is digital photography really better than film? I will address these questions and many more regarding ways to improve your digital photography in this hands-on photography class.” No previous experience is required but participants must bring their own cameras and related supplies. Students will use the Joe & Maggie Rampey Native Gardens at the museum as their “classroom”.
Instructor Clay Bolt is an award-winning natural history and conservation photographer whose work has been featured by organizations and publications such as The Nature Conservancy, The National Wildlife Federation, Outdoor Photographer Magazine and The Telegraph UK. Most recently, he was one of twenty-five photographers worldwide selected to display work in the 2008 CIWEM Environmental Photographer of the Year exhibition in London. Although Clay has traveled and photographed nature across the globe, his passion and focus remains on educating others about South Carolina’s wild places and the importance of protecting them for generations to come.

No refunds on tuition after July 24.
