*Black History Month at the Greer Heritage Museum

The Greer Heritage Museum at 106 S. Main St. celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday in January and Black History Month in February with the following scheduled events:

All events will begin at 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays:

Jan 19

Minister Brandon Coleman, Dr. Martin Luther King‘s “I Have A Dream” oration.

Olvia Erby & The Cedar Grove Baptist Church “In Jesus We Move” Ministry Praise  Dancers

Feb 2

A dramatic presentation by Reggie Griffin, “In De Mornin” by Paul Laurence Dunbar

Stephanie Pepps, storyteller spinning black folktales

Feb 9

“Old School Duo” Mini Concert featuring  The James Brothers, Marshall and Leon James, grand prize winners at the 2nd Annual Upstate Black Expo Gospel Best Competition 2012 in Greenville, SC.

Feb 16

“Nosella”- Minnie Jackson-Greenville playwright, humorist, and performer. Her plays and  monologues are inspired by real life situations and can make you laugh and cry

Tayatta Jones & the Maple Creek Praise Dancers

Feb 23

Tracing Your Roots - Ruth Ann Butler retired history teacher, founder and curator of the Greenville Cultural  Exchange Center, will present a genealogy workshop

Ida Jackson & Company Praise Dancers
