BAMA – Jazz Concert

Join us Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 3 PM on the grounds of the historic Belton Train

Depot to hear outstanding big band jazz tunes performed by the BHP Transit

Authority.

Part of the Rhythm on the Rails concert series, this second outdoor concert is

open to the public free of charge, thanks to the patronage of presenting sponsor

WebbCraft Family Foundation along with SAPA, Industrial Maintenance Services-

Belton, City of Belton HTAX, Anderson County ATAX, and Hard Candy Biker Wear.

The BHP Transit Authority (BHP Jazz Ensemble) is an honors level course offered

to students by audition only, and is taught by Jon Michael Brock. These students

are some of the top players in all of the ensembles at Belton-Honea Path High

School.

The band plays a wide range of music from big band tunes, jazz standards, as well

as rock music from the 40s-present.

“Our set for this coming Sunday at the depot will consist of the some of the

greatest Big Band standards of all time,” said Jon Michael Brock, director.

Organizer Debbie Hughes added, “Bring your lawn chair and sit back for a musical

trip down memory lane.”

For more information, contact Abigail Burden, BAMA Executive Director, at 864-
