Our 1st Patriotic HISTORY CRAWL will begin at the history museum and move to historic places along Main Street. Spring Park Inn, Whistle Stop, Coleman’s Hospital/Carolina Oaks, and Sunrift Adventures.
Step back into history as we hear the train whistle blow at the Whistle Stop Café.  We’ll visit former Coleman Hospital and hear about the many babies born from Dr. Coleman himself. We’ll observe the ladies at Spring Park Inn socializing during afternoon tea. And end at Sunrift Adventures, a building full of evolving history.

Click here for fact sheet that will be posted for all to read and there will be trained museum workers at each location.  In addition, members of the Travelers Rest Historical Society will be dressed in costume.
Children are encouraged to bring a toy or doll for Dr. Stan Coleman to exam.

Parking is available at each stop.  *For access to Spring Park Inn, you’ll need to park along Main Street and walk to home behind Gazebo. The TR History Crawl is a coordinated effort by both cities of Travelers Rest and Slater-Marietta to celebrate Fourth of July with fun events leading up to the Moon Boom fireworks and festivities on Monday, July 3rd.  Join us!
